Software Development Lifecycle
As discussed in my previous blog (http://softwaretestingbyprithivi.blogspot.in/2013/02/software-testing-just-knowledge-sharing.html), In order to deliver a
quality product we need to follow some standards and procedures. Those
Procedures and Standards as a whole we call as “Software Development Lifecycle”.
In simple terms, SDLC starts when an organization think
about developing any Product/Software. SDLC ends when the organization stop
thinking about the Product/Software (Whether the product may be released or withdrawn).
If the Procedures and Standards are not followed then we
lose the control over the Software.
Different types of SDLC:
- Waterfall model
- Verification and Validation
Model
- Spiral Model
- Prototype Model
In my next blog we will talk about different models.
Software Testing (Just a Knowledge Sharing)
1. Manual Testing (Testing done without using tools)
2. Automation Testing (Testing done using tools such as QTP, Selenium etc.)
Software testing in simple terms "Delivering the quality product to the customers".
2. Understanding the CRS.
3. Test the developed application against CRS. (After Development)
4. Deliver the defect free product.
For the above processes to get succeed we need to follow some standards and procedures. In my next blog we will start with standards and procedures.
2. Automation Testing (Testing done using tools such as QTP, Selenium etc.)
Software testing in simple terms "Delivering the quality product to the customers".
How to deliver a quality product??
Very simple. Understanding the requirements thoroughly. How to understand the requirements thoroughly??
By analysing the CRS (Customer Requirement Specification).Process involved:
1. CRS.2. Understanding the CRS.
3. Test the developed application against CRS. (After Development)
4. Deliver the defect free product.
For the above processes to get succeed we need to follow some standards and procedures. In my next blog we will start with standards and procedures.
