Software Development Lifecycle

As discussed in my previous blog (http://softwaretestingbyprithivi.blogspot.in/2013/02/software-testing-just-knowledge-sharing.html), In order to deliver a quality product we need to follow some standards and procedures. Those Procedures and Standards as a whole we call as “Software Development Lifecycle”.

In simple terms, SDLC starts when an organization think about developing any Product/Software. SDLC ends when the organization stop thinking about the Product/Software (Whether the product may be released or withdrawn).

If the Procedures and Standards are not followed then we lose the control over the Software.

Different types of SDLC:

  1. Waterfall model
  2. Verification and Validation Model
  3. Spiral Model
  4. Prototype Model
In my next blog we will talk about different models.
